Just our fun way of offering season’s greetings! It is quite appropriate, because the name actually has a couple of different meanings. Carne Asada is one of our own favorite dishes. It offers beautifully tender strips of steak with jalapeño, onions and tomatoes. This can be served with french fries, or rice and beans, both smothered with green chili and cheese.

However, in parts of southwest USA, Central America and Mexico, the name can also be given to a social gathering, like a barbecue. This is where family and friends gather, meaning it does seem appropriate for this holiday time of year.
